David W. Norris was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1981 as well as the Florida bar in 2005. He is a native of the Cleveland, Ohio area and has been building on his legal experience since 1972. David has worked as a criminal investigator in Cleveland, Ohio, The Portage County Public Defenders office, The Ravenna Ohio city council for three terms, elected to the State Attorneys office for two terms, developed a state wide training program for the Florida Public Defenders Association (Defender College), Training Director for the Florida 5th Circuit Public Defender. David W. Norris has experience in various fields of law including: Foreclosure Defense, Real Estate, Bankruptcy, Government law, Business Law, Civil and Criminal Matters, Family Law and Personal injury.

CHAPTER 7 BANKRUPTCY - BUSINESS OR

INDIVIDUAL DEBT DISCHARGE

Under the new bankruptcy law, which became fully effectual in October of 2005, an individuals ability to obtain a discharge under chapter 7 has been restricted. If you or your businesses qualify, debts may be discharged while certain exempt assets may be retained by the debtor.

CHAPTER 13 BANKRUPTCY - CONSUMER DEBT REORGANIZATION

For many individuals protecting assets that are not exempt under the bankruptcy code is imperative. Chapter 13 offers a debtor an alternative to a complete liquidation under chapter 7. Chapter 13 is a court ordered restructuring of a person's debt's payable over a 36-60 month period.
