It's Always Christmas in Umatilla!

umatilla antique mkt tri jan 11

Umatilla is a rural town proud of its heritage - pioneers, citrus, horse trails, black bears, and is the gateway to Ocala National Forest. No one here will think it is strange that Umatilla Antique Market and Bookstore is keeping up its Christmas decorations through January, according to Deloris Carter and Verna Joyner, owner and manager of the 5500 square foot emporium.

Many winter visitors arrive in January. We don't want them to feel they missed the holiday experience with us. We'll be serving coffee on cold days and punch and cookies on warm days. Better yet, we are continuing our holiday reduced prices and marking down lots of other merchandise. Our customers are loving that!

Most lamps, paintings, pictures, and mirrors are 50% off. Sets of china are reduced. American Fostoria, ruby red, some cobalt, and depression glass are 25% off. We are offering 50% off many tables filled with figurines, art glass and pattern glass. Neat items on one table are all reduced to $1 each. Dealers are welcome to these bargains.

We're proud of everything in our beautiful, well lighted store - even our weird "treasures" including an Asian acoustic instrument of bamboo that you shake, scythes like Father Time carries, double tree, heavy tow chain and pulley, two man saws, steer horns and a large mounted buck.

Other than gorgeous glassware, our specialty is modern and antique furniture at reasonable prices. We have dining tables, chairs, china cabinets, curios, mahogany, drop leaf table, small tables, bedroom suites, Broyhill dresser and corner shelves. In white furniture we have a small china cabinet, entertainment center, book cases and corner shelves. Our costume jewelry includes 40's rhinestone jewelry. Thousands of books of all kinds sell for 10 cents and up!

Umatilla Antique Market and Bookstore is only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. It is located at 811 N. Central (Hwy 19) beside Ace Hardware, 352-669-3202.
